Spectra Development – Construction Company of the Year

Spectra Development, responsible for the Bobrowiecka complex, was awarded the title of Construction Company of the Year 2018 by Builder monthly. Dariusz Sokołowski, the CEO, received the Construction Industry Personality of the Year 2018 award during the 16th edition of the prestigious Builder Awards 2018. During the official gala, Dariusz Sokołowski accepted the awards on behalf of the Company and himself.

The key to achieving objectives is commitment to the implemented projects, an attitude strongly demonstrated by our employees,” said Dariusz Sokołowski, the Spectra Development CEO.

The competition panel and the editorial team of Builder monthly awarded Spectra Development the title of Construction Company of the Year 2018 for the Bobrowiecka 8 office building, which is a part of an office and residential complex located in Warsaw’s Dolny Mokotów district. Dariusz Sokołowski, the Spectra Development CEO, received the award given in recognition of his effective management of the company and overall work. The Builder Awards competition is organised annually by Builder, a construction industry monthly. This year, the 16th edition of the competition was held.

Bobrowiecka 8 comprises 25,000 m2 of A-class office and retail space, of which more than 80% has already been commercialised. Office and retail space tenants include CEDC International, Gamma Medical Centre, Chimney Poland, the ENGIE Group, Green Caffè Nero, Hoogells Oleksiewicz Sznyrowska law firm, the Danone Group, Olimp, Roche Diagnostics Polska, and the Zdrofit fitness club. The office building offers numerous amenities, such as an excellent location and easy access, 501 parking spaces in a two-storey car park, bicycle stands and showers for cyclists. Spectra Development completed the project in October 2017 in just 18 months. The general contractor was Hochtief Polska.

The office building, with its timeless architecture, is characterised by advanced technological solutions, which guarantee the maximum work comfort. The project, together with the adjacent buildings – the Bobrowiecka 6 office building and the Bobrowiecka 10 apartment building – is part of an urban complex designed by the JEMS Architekci design office, which in line with the originator’s concept creates a visually attractive, functional and spacious urban feature adding a new dimension to the district. Bobrowiecka 8 is an architectural gem of the Dolny Mokotów area, distinguished by the inclusion of artwork, unparalleled in Warsaw’s commercial property market. In accordance with our original concept of culture embedded in space, in cooperation with the Starak Family Foundation, the interiors of the office building feature an art exhibition of works by young Polish artists.

The office building is located near the entry to the route leading to the Siekierkowski Bridge, which guarantees great communication with all Warsaw districts. Bobrowiecka 8 was built in accordance with the principles of sustainable development, BREEAM certification and building information modelling (BIM).
